This year will see the reintroduction of poultry showing at the show, thanks to Ballarat Poultry Society. They will be exhibited in the Geddes Pavilion and include a fun section.

Kingston Friends of the Avenue and Kingston Agricultural Society have combined forces to run Bunnings Sausage Sizzles at the Bunnings Creswick warehouse. Many thanks to the 18 volunteers from both groups who prepared for and ran three shifts for the first of 2 sizzles.

We are excited to announce the dog jump competition is coming to the Kingston Show this year. Open to dogs of all shapes and sizes there will be three classes all of which qualify for State finals.

Planning is now well progressed for our 153rd Annual Show on December 10th and 11th this year. 

Kingston Agricultural Society was pleased to support International Play Music on the Porch Day at Kingston last weekend.

The Central Highlands has an excellent range of produce to showcase. Kingston Agricultural Society has commenced planning our inaugural Food and Wine Festival for Sunday, October 29th, 2023

Grant acquitted! Thanks to the bank’s generosity we purchased 30 chairs, a pie warmer and a display fridge. We are pleased to have made another step in advancing our capacity to support a whole range of events.

How did they do it? The Ballarat Trekkers picked a perfect May weekend to meet up at the Kingston Showgrounds. They enjoyed the impressive vistas, strolled around Kingston and the Avenue of Honour. They also enjoyed a great meal at the nearby Commercial.

Thanks to a grant from the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (Agriculture Victoria) we’ve been rebuilding our loading ramp.

Back in 2019 Kingston member Grace Calder won the Victorian Rural Ambassador Award, but due to COVID waited until 2022 to compete for the 2021 national award in Sydney. We are proud to report that Grace achieved runner-up which is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations Grace!

Our Autumn Horse Show was held on 13th March 2022. With over 110 horses and great weather we had a great day! Thanks to entrants, sponsors, volunteers and visitors. Congratulations to the winners!

Continuing their outstanding community support, the bank have committed $2000 to assist purchase of chairs, a pie warmer and a display fridge.

The showgrounds are looking fabulous and are open to the community.  The perfect spot to have a picnic, walk the dog or sit in the heritage listed grandstand and appreciate the view.

It is thrilling to see the grounds in action again.  Recently we welcomed a number of groups for various events and activities including a horse show and a cycling race.

Thanks to a Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (Agriculture Victoria) grant we’ve purchased two 8mx4m marquees which can be joined to make a single 8mx8m structure. 

The marquees were funded through the department’s Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grant scheme. The marquees are available for community events and those hiring the showgrounds.
